J pod

Headed out on the water Sunday April 19, 2015 at 14:30 with BC Whale Tours, Victoria British Columbia.  BC Orca is a very smooth ride cruising effortlessly at high speeds.  We found J pod heading north in Swanson Channel spread out foraging.  The newest calf J52 and his mother J36 Alki swam by near Salt Spring Island.  Another mother and calf were closer to Pender Island.  Onyx L87 surfaced and made a beautiful rainbow!
